The result of four years of dedicated work and a journey of self-discovery, Eremito captures the luxury of simplicity. With architecture reminiscent of 14th-century hermitages, the resort radiates serenity and invites guests to reconnect. It’s not an ashram, it’s not a monastery—it’s a new way to digitally detox and find inner peace.
You enter Eremito almost through a tunnel—a symbol of your own inner struggle and the journey to find answers and the light beyond. Gregorian chants and imagery of the Catholic faith are present throughout the property.
Guests are invited to join the staff in morning meditation and prayer, mostly in Italian—reading scriptures of different faiths and spirituality. Each day, there is an easy yoga class to join, or guests can start the day with a hike on the vast private property.
Eremito encourages a digital detox—there is no internet connection, and the use of cellphones is kept to a minimum. It’s a journey inward, with almost no stimulation of your nervous system. Eremito’s wellness philosophy emphasizes reconnection with nature and oneself, fostering a holistic retreat for personal rejuvenation.
Location
Eremito is located in a secluded and remote area in the picturesque Umbrian valleys of Italy. The resort is easily accessible from major cities such as Rome and Florence. By car, a 4-wheel drive is recommended—make sure to check in with the hotel about any road closures due to weather conditions.
For those arriving by train, the closest station is Fabro-Ficulle, where shuttle services can be arranged for transport to the resort.
