Originally from Germany, Larissa’s journey has taken her through the vibrant landscapes of Italy and France, where she spent much of her life immersed in the fashion industry. Larissa’s experiences and explorations across different cultures and rituals have shaped her mission to weave these influences into meaningful, healing projects. Her life took a bold turn when she chose to step away from the hustle and bustle of city life, embracing the serenity of nature, silence, and sound. Today, Larissa is a modern alchemist, seamlessly blending her passions for sound healing, nature-inspired culinary creations, and holistic well-being. Her studio at Borgo San Sicario in Italy is a sanctuary where she crafts experiences that resonate deeply with the body, mind, and soul. What was your life like before you discovered your passion for healing? What were you doing, and how did it contrast with where you are now?
“My life was defined by a constant search and a deep sense of restlessness. I often felt lonely and out of place, which led me to develop an incredible curiosity and awareness to see beyond the surface and to explore alternative ideas and concepts. When I discovered Yoga in the 90s, it was not very known at that time, this wonderful practice quickly became a vital part of my life ever since. Though I am a certified teacher I never started to teach, but it allowed me to dive very deep into the practice and philosophy.
Most of my career was spent in the fashion industry, where I worked for over 20 years alongside the Capasa brothers. It was a fantastic, glamorous and extraordinary time—a period when fashion was less corporate, more creative and freer. I had the privilege of meeting incredibly inspiring people, traveling the world, allowing me to explore freely and experiencing a life of Rock n’ Roll. But no matter what, already then, in every city I arrived I found my Yoga studio, my silent corners and my healthy restaurants. My best time was spent with friends, eating natural foods and going to bed early.
Despite the excitement and success, I never truly felt I belonged in the world of red carpets and parties – it seemed distant from who I was in my soul. My heart felt more at home in nature, in solitude and silence, rather than in the spotlight. I was always the one slipping away early from events and parties, seeking quiet moments to reconnect with myself. This contrast eventually led me to step away from that world and embrace a life dedicated to healing and exploration.
My life is completely different now. I embraced my calling, dedicating myself to the art of healing through retreats, sound healing and food. This path has brought me a deep sense of joy and alignment. The restless searching has transformed into a grounded sense of purpose and community. Where I once felt disconnected, I now feel at home, living a life that nourishes my soul and that allows me to share that sense of peace and wholeness with others.
Was there a particular moment when you felt everything ‘clicked’ and you fully embraced your calling?
“There was no instant that made me click; instead, it was a process—a journey my life had been quietly leading me toward for years and continues to do so today. Perhaps, losing my last job during the pandemic became the pivotal turning point. It forced me to pause, reflect, and gather all my courage to finally embrace the ideas and passion that I was always feeling in me.
It wasn’t an instant transformation. It took time to trust and believe in this new path and to step fully into the role of being of service to others. But the more I walk the path, the more aligned and purposeful it feels.
How do you define healing in your own words? What does it mean to you on a personal level?
“Healing, to me, is a process of restoring balance physically, emotionally and spiritually. It’s about creating space for growth, understanding, and transformation.
It is about being authentic. Healing isn’t always linear; it’s a journey, a process, completely different and individual to everyone. But ultimately healing to me is about creating a sense of wholeness and belonging, in ourselves and the world around us. It is about feeling the connection and that we are one and responsible for what surrounds us, humanity and nature.
The more people there are walking this path, guiding others, bringing awareness, moving more towards sensitivity and grace in this world, appreciation and respect for what surrounds us; I hope that slowly there will be a human shift, a transformation that will generate a new consciousness.
What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned on your path that you believe everyone should know?
“Stay true to yourself, be authentic, be grateful and never take anything for granted.
This sounds trivial but the exposure to an excess overload of information constantly wants to distract us and makes it very difficult to hear our own voices. Own your authenticity, your journey, your needs and your purpose whilst at the same time respecting those of others.
Thank you, Larissa, for your time.
