PachaMama offers holistic wellness programs that nurture body, mind, and spirit. Its detox retreats—featuring juice cleanses, colonics, and fasting—support deep physical purification. Daily yoga and meditation classes are held in jungle-shrouded shalas, inviting presence and flexibility.
Silent retreats offer space for deep introspection, while emotional healing workshops guide participants through inner transformation. A standout experience is the Spirit Dance, a four-night fire ceremony where participants fast and dance, reconnecting with primal energies and ancestral rhythms.
Sweat lodge ceremonies rooted in indigenous tradition offer physical and spiritual cleansing. Everything at PachaMama is designed to support personal awakening within a safe, guided container.
Rather than offering one-size-fits-all wellness, the community invites each person to find their own healing path, held by nature and a supportive community. The experience is both grounding and elevating—a return to self through stillness, movement, and ritual.
Food at PachaMama is organic, plant-based, and full of life. The Verde Restaurant serves colorful vegetarian meals made from locally sourced produce—salads, warm grains, soups, and global-inspired dishes crafted with care and creativity.
Everything is designed to nourish and detoxify, with options for vegan, raw, and gluten-free lifestyles.
Wild Treats, the jungle’s beloved raw bar, offers fresh smoothies, cold-pressed juices, raw chocolate, and superfood snacks, all made daily. The Jungle Shop complements the experience with organic dry goods, teas, and sustainable personal items. Meals are often enjoyed in silence or among the community, reinforcing mindfulness and gratitude.
No meat, processed foods, are served, creating a naturally detoxifying food culture. Nutrition is viewed as an extension of healing—fuel for clarity, balance, and energy.
Location
PachaMama is located near San Juanillo on Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula, surrounded by untouched jungle and about 20 minutes from the Pacific coast. Getting there requires intention, reinforcing its role as a true retreat.
The closest airports are Liberia (LIR) and San José (SJO). From Liberia, it’s a 2.5-hour drive; from San José, a 5-hour drive or a domestic flight to Nosara followed by a 30-minute taxi. Roads can be bumpy, especially in rainy season—4×4 vehicles are advised.
Taxis from Nosara or shared rides arranged through a community WhatsApp group make access easier. The remoteness enhances the sense of arrival—by the time you walk into the village, you’ve already begun to unplug from the outside world.
With no Wi-Fi in most guest areas, the natural beauty, bird calls, and jungle air become the backdrop for a deeper inner connection. Getting there is part of the transformation.
