POH: Can you share a success story from your practice that exemplifies the impact of your work?
Gamila: What I love most about the weekly sound bath experience I offer is the clients & devotees that come to class wanting to relax and unwind. Once we tune in and go through the first set of vocal toning with the “om” vibration and go through the entire sound bath activation, each guest always wakes up feeling like they have gone on a long trip very far away & they always have a story or an explanation of where they were and what colors they saw. I always get angel visitations, so for me, that’s the ultimate compliment that my sound healing offerings are uplifting & relaxing.
POH: What do you hope to achieve through your work in the long term? What legacy would you like to leave behind?
Gamila: All of my sound healing instruments have been blessed by the Shyalpa Rinpoche of Nepal when he was doing a residency in Los Angeles promoting the World Peace Sanctuary, and I had the honor of playing for him. The Rinpoche played my sun gong and confirmed that my playing, along with all the sound healers of the world, are lifting the vibrational frequencies of our planet & realm every time we play. I distribute a poem called “Living Fully” to each guest at the sound bath experience so that meditation and music and prayers will join the collective energy of peace and blessings as part of our legacy.
POH: What’s the most important lesson you’ve learned on your path that you believe everyone should know?
Gamila:The most important thing I learned while on my spiritual journey is to work on yourself, and take time to learn what makes you happy and how better to serve others. Taking a course or a teacher training on a spiritual level will feed your soul and enrich your life.
I am so grateful and humbled every time I can teach or help heal a person who genuinely believes.
